Photolucida Presents Then. Now. Here. at the Oregon Historical Society!

We all know that Oregon is a pretty cool place to live, visit, photograph – its people, its landscape, its special character and unique history.  Show us your photographs of Oregon and its people, THEN or NOW.  Modern images, funny images, poignant images – or, have you come across any remarkable vintage ‘found’ images by others? Think about what will look good up on the big screen!

In April 2014, as a component of Portland Photo Month, Photolucida directors will curate a slideshow from these images. The slideshow will be presented at a gala event at the Oregon Historical Society on April 16th, and run as a video projection in the window at Blue Sky Gallery during the month of April.

Images selected for the slideshow will be added to the Oregon Historical Society’s photographic archives with the consent of each photographer. These images will become an important part of Oregon’s public history. Students, scholars, and history-lovers will be able to access these images at OHS for years to come.
Do you love Oregon? Go out and photograph it! We can’t wait to see your images.

Deadline: March 17, 2014. Submission is free!
