THE ABSTRACT TRUTH: AN ARTIST STATEMENT

My works are a series of objects in book form
incorporating mixed media and are specifically
photograph(y) dependent. The work represents a
personal re-examination of life/history through the filter of
what I know now. Formally, I seek to contextualize
objects and photographs into a juxtaposition that illuminates lived experience and personal truth. My work is evidence of change, of historical revision and reflection on the connection to what has already been and an ever-evolving present.
