Marjorie Salvaterra

Sheila in Technicolor is my mother in my ear
saying, “Don’t you want to add a little color?”
(I was a black and white photographer up until now.)
An extension of my life as... “Don’t you want to
add a little lipstick?” “Is that what you’re wearing?”
It’s the acknowledgment of how my mother and
grandmother were raised, and instead of fighting
it, accepting the colorful life I have had.

SOME OF US GET THROUGH THE DAY THE OLD FASHION WAY

WELL, DID YOU LOOK BOTH WAYS

YOU KNOW WHO ELSE IS VERY GOOD... ROSEMARY CLOONEY

I JUST WANT YOU TO BE HEALTHY... LIKE I WAS AT YOUR AGE

HE'S NOT COMING TO SAVE YOU

YOU PLAY LIKE YOUR FATHER

DON'T YOU WANT TO ADD A LITTLE COLOR

Why are YOU Tired

DON'T YOU THINK YOU'VE HAD ENOUGH

STOP COMPLAINING
