As a further selection from the series Conversations with Myself, this work continues to be about looking at myself, in my many aspects, as I continue to morph, grow and become, more.
With openness, curiosity and tenacity, the evolution of the self shifts over time and reveals itself, often when we are unaware, of our progress and our becoming, over and over again. In looking at images this evolution is revealed.
Although this work is performative, I draw from the truths I know deeply. The nuances of expression and body language conceals and reveals how we, as women are, how we see ourselves, how we wish to be seen, and how we are seen by others. We navigate the political world, the private home life, and our individual lives, looking alway fto maintains a sense of balance, for the good of others.
This collection of images, offers hints and clues as to who the character is, and what has or is about to happen as a narrative in a frame, As they are theatrically performed, influenced by lived experiences, memories and media, I take license to exaggerate and create assorted female personas that speaks to a larger audience.
