Photolucida’s biennial Portfolio Reviews Event in April has been cancelled due to pandemic concerns. We will miss our people! We share the task with other cultural organizations in adapting our programming to accommodate this loss of event revenue with some new online programming. We have a few things up our sleeves and are excited to be planning Photolucida’s first online auction in March – and it won’t be just any ordinary auction! We are creatively brainstorming on how to keep the opportunity for connection and community going in a myriad of ways. Proceeds from this auction event will benefit both Photolucida and our participating photographers in the bidding section.
In the bidding section: There will be opportunities to bid on one-on-one meetings with our esteemed and knowledgeable reviewers! We are excited to offering up some individual pieces from talented emerging and established photographers and showcasing some beautiful print-and-book pairings. A handful of spectacularly interesting signed photo books from historically relevant photographers will be in the mix, and there will be the opportunity to purchase a print for just $150 from our curated group of favorite images from Critical Mass.
