Sagan once said “We seek a pattern and we find one”…or something like that.

Infinity Room is in a house deep in the forest. You’ll pass through a desert to find it. The desert is next to a shrinking sea, the water shallow and thick. The sea is nestled in a neighborhood set for demolition. You can find Infinity Room in the smoke blocking out the sun, or in the flames themselves, as they cast shadows on the freshly cut lawn.

Infinity Room is a collection of images made in the United States over the last seven years. A historic time of incredible scientific advancement, accompanied by an all pervasive, and engineered, doubt. The series focuses on impermanence, isolation, the peculiarity of this American moment, and the unease this modern stew has produced.

Inspired by science fiction, and infused with a mythical nature, the series gathers images made throughout the country. A surreal vernacular emerges from the images, capturing a sort of fever dream landscape. An imaginary investigation into a specific time in our history, fragmentary and cyclical in scope, Infinity Room is a loop laid out in a straight line.
