Demographers predict that around the year 2042, due to one of the largest population shifts in our history, that white skinned people will become the minority in the US. While that is currently being misrepresented and used as a political hot button issue, it is critical in the years remaining that we begin to focus on inequality. We will need to address structural changes that effect peoples lives such as education, health care and housing, while at the same time dispelling stereotypes and reconciling with the past.
