My family history his haunted by tragic events related to domestic violence, suicide and chronic alcoholism. A tumultuous, psychologically violent relationship with family members, and a cult-like religious experience resulted in my loss of spiritual and domestic faith. Frustrated by the lack of photographs in my own family archive to document this dark family narrative, I set out to create a potent amendment to the benign and idealized family album assembled by my parents.
